A High Performance UV Filter

In view of the rise in the incidence of skin cancer disease to 2 - 3 million cases of non-melanoma and 132,000 cases of melanoma related cancer globally each year, at Lagom, we are pledged to reduce the skin damaging risk by optimizing the life-saving benefits of our ultimate UV filter daily care.
However, I do notice that there is always a gap between our ideal assumption of sun protection and the real practice of the consumers. Research studies show that sunscreen products often fail to deliver the expected performance for two main reasons:
1) Under-usage by consumers.
2) Time consuming.
The surveys reveal that some consumers are reluctant to apply a sufficient protection layer of sunscreen on the skin as it makes them feel sticky and uncomfortable with the assumption that it may clog their pores which lead to acne formation. Survey respondents also concluded that the regular daily use of sun care product is time-consuming, as it at times interfering with their normal beauty regime.
According to studies, sunburn is directly due to lower UV rays exposure. The fact is, when our skin is exposed to UV light, the first ray will cause damaging effects to various cellular and extracellular constituents. For keratinocytes, the UV induced damage will lead to a distinct build-up of inflammatory cytokines which thus initiated inflammatory blood vessels to dilate and cause the appearance of redness on the skin. A photodamage sunburn becomes manifested macroscopically not only in skin reddening but also in a growing level of pain on the affected spot. The myth is more than half of the UV radiation is not only due to frequencies of vacation but rather to day by day activities such as driving, gardening, grill parties or lunch breaks. People have significantly lower awareness for sun protection in those situations which might result in occasional localized sunburn, particularly the facial area.
A Key Drive For High Performance Sunscreen
In order to enhance a high SPF level of an effective sunscreen, it must be formulated with a high concentration of oily UV filters. However, the reduction of the oil concentration of the formulation would risk compromising its performance. Alternatively, Lagom Timeless Sun Care has been encapsulated with a sensory modifier, an active ingredient that effectively reduces the greasy sensation upon application, while leaving the skin feeling pleasantly light and silky without adversely affecting its protection efficacy.
This approach enables us to promote Lagom Timeless Sun Care as an innovative multifunctional sunscreen which emerges as an integral and “must have” regime in our daily skin care routine.
