e-CO2 Gel ACTIONS
CO2 is generated in high concentration in e-co2 gel mask and effectively absorbed through the skin. CO2 reacts with water and is quickly converted into bicarbonate molecules and acidic protons according to this reaction.
This causes the pH of the tissue to decrease and so, according to the diagram, increase the dissociation of Oxygen from Haemogoblin, allowing the tissue to obtain enough oxygen to meet its demand, and therefore to activate its metabolism. This process is known as BOHR Effect.
