Clinical Micro Needling

What is Clinical Micro Needling?

Clinical Micro-Needling originally known as collagen induction therapy or percutaneous collagen induction (PCI), is now a well-documented safe and effective solution for multiple treatment options which include post acne atrophic scars, periorbital wrinkles, melanosis, actinic keratosis, varicella scars and skin flaccidity.

Our Clinical Micro Needling device is developed based on ground breaking high precision technology to create micro-punctures on the skin in inducing our skin’s natural healing cascade. In this context, high-precision flexible tilting needle plates which creates 900 microscopic punctures per second is applied on the treated skin without any pressure. The automated hand piece is built with adjustable penetration depth & speed indicated for different skin conditions to initiate percutaneous collagen induction without disrupting the scar tissue.

Notable for effective, minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatments, our clinical micro-needling has become a popular procedure with results comparable to other invasive treatment modalities. This therapeutic tool offers treatment for premature aging, skin tightening, collagen regeneration, pore size minimization, skin texture improvement, stretch marks and hypertrophic scarring. The comparative advantage is, it is friendly to all skin types from I to VI, and its flexible tips can be rolled on the most fragile skin around the eyes, neck and decollectage. The primary appeal of our clinical micro-needling is its ability to stimulate growth of collagen and elastin, which is the key to new, youthful-looking skin.

Dynamics

1. Percutaneous Collagen Induction

With the highest speed of multiple controlled penetration into the targeted dermis layer, the device causes microscopic dermal injuries which consequently leads to regenerative wound healing cascade. This initiates the production of healthy structured collagen and elastin while accelerating the proliferation of keratinocytes to improve scar tissues remodelling and thereby reversing as well as

2. Maximization of Drug Delivery

By creating a specific pathway through its microscopic punctures, it enhances drug delivery directly to the group of targeted tissues by increasing the permeability of the innermost cells. With the aid of the customized formulation of actives, it is pledged to deliver the specific desired aesthetic results of wrinkle smoothening, skin firming and depigmentation.

Believe it or not, micro-needling has become hugely popular among skincare fanatics, and Vogue Magazine is calling it the next big thing in anti-aging.

Micro-needling procedure

  1. Micro-needling is performed under the preparation of a topical anaesthetic cream. The cream, which contains a eutectic mixture of lignocaine, tetracaine and benzocaine, is applied approximately 20 minutes in prior to the commencement of the procedure.
  2. The needle depth selection for each patient depends on the treatment indication. When treating acne and atrophic scarring, the needle length will be selected based on the depth of the scars. Whereas for the treatment of skin rejuvenation and anti-wrinkle, the recommended needle depth will be adjusted in between 0.5 mm to 1.0 mm.
  3. The adjustable penetrating speed will be set at 110-150 hits per second depending the skin condition and the patient’s acceptance of pain tolerance.
  4. The hand piece with the selected cartridge is then rolled on the treated skin in continuous circular direction without any pressure. In the case of scar treatment, the procedure is performed with slight stretching on the treated area to ensure that the base of the scar is treated thoroughly. Uniform formation of small pinpoint bleeding on the scar tissues marks the treatment endpoint.

Post Treatment Care

  1. Anti-inflammatory e-co2 gel mask will be applied immediately after the treatment to reduce the edema and redness.
  2. Reapplication of e-co2 gel mask after 24 hours is highly recommended should the post inflammatory condition persist.
  3. Sun exposure is strictly prohibited.
  4. Avoid drinking boiling hot soup and spicy food.
  5. Hot sauna is not advisable.
  6. Regular use of anti-aging sunscreen Timeless Sun Care is highly recommended during the post-treatment healing period. The small pinpoint injuries on the treated skin will heal automatically within 24 – 48 hours with no post-treatment sequelae.
  7. It is vital to maintain your optimum skin condition with our post treatment skin care regimen, particularly the concentrated Fullnesse Hyaluronic Acid which helps the skin to bind water while preventing trans-epidermal water loss after the procedure.

Treatment Protocol:

Treatments with the clinical micro-needling are performed at 2–3 weeks intervals and multiple visits will be scheduled to achieve the best desired results. The final results will not be assessed immediately as new collagen matrix continues to be laid down for the subsequent 3–6 months after the course of treatment has been completed.

Our professional and highly qualified aesthetician will provide each patient with a customized consultation and detailed analysis on the expected outcome after the completion of the course of treatment.

FAQ

1. Is the procedure painful?

Visible results after the first session. You may experience an approximately 2-6 cm circumference reduction in the treated area in each session. Results may vary for each individual depending on the conditions of the fat accumulation.

2. How many sessions do I have to go through?

The minimal recommended sessions ranges from 3-5 sessions with weekly interval depending on the skin condition each individual.

3. How long does the procedure take?

The procedure takes around 10-20 minutes to complete depending on the size of the treated area.

4. Will it cause scarring?

Not at all. On the contrary, our clinical micro needling is specially designated to stimulate percutaneous collagen induction to accelerate wound scarring while thickening the epidermis.

5. What is the associated downtime?

Some patients may have mild edema and redness for the first 24-48 hours. However, this post-inflammatory effect can be treated with e-CO2 gel mask which is the best remedy for calming edema, redness and inflammation while increasing oxygen supply to the surrounding tissues.

6. How long does the treatment result last?

For atrophic scarring, the effect is visible even after the first treatment and the result may improve over 3-6 months. However, for premature skin aging indications, maintenance sessions are required every 3-6 months to ensure long lasting results.

It is best to consult with our professional and experienced aestheticians to provide you with a detailed plan of treatment sessions, the cost incurred in order to meet your expectations.
